Water Heaters

When installing a water heater it is always a common procedure to change the water flexes, gas flex, gas cock, earthquake strap and venting. This is standard procedure when Rick’s Plumbing changes out your water heater.

In most residential homes, 40 gallon and 50 gallon water heaters are used.

To change out a 40 gallon water heater the price is $995.

For a 50 gallon water heater the changeout cost is $1095.

Why Change Out Your Water Heater?

Most of the time your water heater will be leaking from the bottom or you will find that your out of hot water. Usually if your heater is roughly 5 to 10 years old, your capacity of hot water has decreased. The reason why your water heater loses capacity of hot water is because your heater has built up calcium and hard water deposits.

By buying a new water heater you can eliminate those problems and newer water heaters have a higher recovery rate (refill with hot water) than heaters that are 8 to 10 years old. For instance, on a 40 gallon water heater the first hour you get 75 gallons of hot water with an up-to-date recovery rate. For the 50 gallon water heater you get 100 gallons.

Water heaters have a 6 year warranty from the factory. Or you can make it a 10 year warranty for an additional cost.
